In an interview with the program Bate Pronto, on Rádio Jovem Pan News Ribeirão Preto 107.5 MHz, coach Osny stated that, at the moment, he sees no possibility of Comercial Futebol Clube qualifying for the G8 of the Campeonato Paulista Série A4.
According to the coach, the main focus is to move the team away from the relegation zone.
“Our main concern is to get the team out of this situation and keep it far from the relegation zone. I can't mislead the fans by saying we will qualify. We need to win games and earn points,” he declared.
Important absence and reinforcements from amateur football
The coach also lamented the loss of defender Lucas Lima, who suffered an injury during training this week and is expected to be out for the next few games.
On the other hand, Osny confirmed the arrival of two reinforcements from amateur football in Ribeirão Preto:
- Defensive midfielder Rafael Tavares, already registered in the competition;
- Forward Patrik.
Right-back did not come
The technical staff was still looking to sign a right-back, but negotiations did not progress.
“We tried for a right-back, but we couldn't. I can't waste two slots that were available to me, so I opted to sign the boys from amateur football,” the coach explained.
Comercial's next game
Comercial Futebol Clube returns to the field this Wednesday (8 PM), against Vocem, at Estádio Palma Travassos, in a decisive match for the team's recovery in the competition.
The expectation is for a direct confrontation in the fight against the last positions in the standings.
